Cool t-shirt -- 09/07/12

Jill gave me a cool t-shirt yesterday... for the entry of Rogers and Stark into our political contest.

For those of you who have managed to avoid reading Marvel Comics for the past fifty years or so and have also managed to miss some recent films, including the top grossing film so far this year (more than six hundred million domestic gross and $1,502,832,807 world-wide to date).

Yes, imagine Steve Rogers and Tony Stark as candidates for president and vice president.

For those of you who still haven't caught on yet, Steve Rogers is the secret identity of Captain America (okay, so he actually dates back to World War II, but publication later ceased until Marvel Comics revived him in the early 1960s) and Tony Stark, of course, is Iron Man. And they both starred (along with Thor, The Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and, of course, Nick Fury) in The Avengers.

Hmmm, this could start a tradition here of coming up with a cool political t-shirt once every four years. For those of you who were not reading this blog four years ago, here is the shirt I featured then.
